Cinnamon Sugar Brioche Pudding (Print)

# What You Need:

→ Bread

01 - 6 cups stale brioche, cut into 1-inch cubes

→ Custard

02 - 2 cups whole milk
03 - 1 cup heavy cream
04 - 4 large eggs
05 - 2/3 cup granulated sugar
06 - 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
07 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
08 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
09 - 1/4 teaspoon fine salt

→ Cinnamon Sugar Topping

10 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
11 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
12 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

→ Optional

13 - 1/3 cup raisins or chocolate chips

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
02 - Spread brioche cubes evenly in the prepared baking dish. If desired, sprinkle raisins or chocolate chips over the bread.
03 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
04 - Pour custard mixture evenly over the bread cubes. Press gently to submerge all pieces. Let rest for 10 minutes to absorb.
05 - Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Drizzle melted butter over the bread, then evenly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture.
06 - Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until puffed, golden, and a knife inserted comes out clean.
07 - Allow to cool for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.
