# Top Tips:

01 -
  • It gives you all the flavor of spicy salmon rolls without the fuss of rolling individual pieces.
  • The combination of warm rice, creamy salmon, and melted cheese creates an unexpectedly comforting texture.
  • Its easy enough for a weeknight but impressive enough to serve at a potluck.
  • You can adjust the spice level and toppings to match exactly what you crave.
02 -
  • Dont skip rinsing the rice, or youll end up with a gummy layer instead of fluffy, sticky grains.
  • Mix the vinegar solution into the rice while its still warm so it absorbs properly and develops that classic sushi tang.
  • Let the bake rest for five minutes after pulling it from the oven, it helps the layers set and makes scooping much easier.
03 -
  • Use Kewpie mayo if you can find it, the slight sweetness and richer texture make a noticeable difference in the creamy salmon layer.
  • For extra flavor, toast the nori sheet lightly over a gas flame or in a dry pan before crumbling it over the rice.
  • Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice over the finished bake just before serving, it brightens everything and cuts through the richness beautifully.
