# Top Tips:

01 -
  • It's a showstopper that takes less time to make than it does to admire, perfect when you want to impress without spending hours in the kitchen
  • Everything here is naturally vegan and gluten-free, so you're not excluding anyone from the celebration
  • Your guests get to eat the decoration—there's something delightfully honest about a beautiful centerpiece that's also the appetizer
02 -
  • The longer you cut your vegetable sticks, the more dramatic the effect—short pieces disappear into the arrangement, but long strips create those mesmerizing flame lines
  • If your vegetables are starting to lose their firmness, give them a quick ice bath before arranging; they'll perk up and hold their shape beautifully
03 -
  • Use a round plate rather than a rectangular one—the circular shape naturally echoes the shape of a fire and makes your arrangement feel intentional and complete
  • Arrange your centerpiece just before serving rather than too far in advance; vegetables start to release moisture and the pieces can shift. Thirty minutes before your guests arrive is the perfect timing
